“Über Nacht” is a series that explores the theme of the dream worlds of nightmares. The series consists of 10 drawings in the format 30×40 cm, colored pencil and graphite on paper, and audio files. In this work, the nightmares of 10 people were visualized; they recorded their dreams in their respective native languages using a recording device.
In the exhibition context, behind each drawing is a speaker playing the recording in which the respective person recounts their dream.
The result is a series of auditory images—drawings with sound. The audio files are all played simultaneously, creating a jumble of monologues in the room that underscores the nonlinear sequence and chaos of the dream worlds.
